Why I Design

As a creative by nature and a scientist by nurture, I blend design thinking and analytical reasoning to:

  • We’ve all waited way too long at the DMV, struggled to find a therapist, or wondered why the I Bond website looks like it’s from the 90s. Clearly, technology does not distribute equally across all facets of our world — but design can bridge the gap.

  • Doctors want to spend time with patients, not paperwork. Small business owners want to serve customers, not deal with payment processes. Design thinking is key to creating solutions that take care of these daily challenges so that people can spend more time doing what they love.

  • I believe that beauty is not a nice-to-have, but a crucial part of life. It inspires hope, alleviates pain, and reminds us of our shared humanity. Thus, I believe that design should not just be functional, but spark joy, often in the most subtle but remarkable ways.

Things I Love

While I’m not designing, I love:

  • learning new things (currently: Japanese, running, sewing)

  • exploring terrains, IRL + in open-world games

  • writing zesty food reviews (I'm a Yelp Elite!)

  • practicing mindfulness and gratitude

More fun facts…

In my free time, I love helping women feel empowered to lift heavy weights.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a bird when I grew up. I may not be a bird now, but I did go skydiving.

I unwind by playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
